What Waqtee is

Waqtee lets you discover businesses and book their services. The services themselves (the appointment, the meal, the class) are provided by the business, and prices, availability and policies are set by the business. Waqtee is the booking channel, not the provider.

Bookings

A booking is a request to the business. Some businesses confirm each booking by hand; until they do, it shows as waiting for confirmation. Changing or cancelling a booking follows the rules shown when you book or manage it, which each business sets.

Give accurate contact details: your phone number (and email, if you give one) is how confirmations, reminders and the link to manage your booking reach you.

No-shows

If you don’t turn up and the business records a no-show, it counts against the phone number you booked with. A business may choose to stop accepting online bookings from a number with repeated no-shows within a set period; you can still book with them directly, older no-shows stop counting with time, and a business can remove one it recorded by mistake.

Payments, refunds and Waqtee credit

Bookings made through Waqtee are paid when you book: the full price where the business states one, or a deposit where it asks for one without stating a price. Restaurant bookings are the exception: you pay the restaurant for your meal. What you pay, and any Waqtee credit used toward it, is shown before you pay.

A weekly booking is paid for all of its weeks at once when you book. Each week is its own booking: a week you cancel in time is refunded on its own, and the other weeks stay booked.

If you cancel within the cancellation window the business sets, a booking you paid in full is refunded. A deposit is refunded too, unless the business keeps deposits on cancellations; whether it does is shown before you pay. If the business cancels your booking, everything you paid is refunded. If you don’t turn up and the business records a no-show, the business keeps what you paid.

A refund can go back to your card, or you can choose to keep it as Waqtee credit; anything you paid with Waqtee credit always comes back as credit. Waqtee may also give you credit, for example as a goodwill gesture. Credit goes toward a later booking paid in the Waqtee app: it is used first, and your card pays the rest. Credit expires on the date shown with it and cannot be topped up, transferred or exchanged for cash.

Bookings for someone else

When you arrange a booking as a gift, you confirm that the person it is for is happy to be contacted by the business to arrange it. If you withdraw it before it is booked, or the business declines it or doesn’t arrange it in time, what you paid comes back to you.

Accounts and guest bookings

You can book without an account. The link that manages a booking is private to that booking: anyone with it can view or cancel the booking, so keep it to yourself.

An account signs in with your phone number and a one-time code, and keeps your bookings across devices. Keep access to your phone number secure; you can delete your account at any time in the app.

Fair use

Do not place fraudulent or abusive bookings, interfere with the service, or scrape it. We apply rate limits and may refuse or cancel bookings and accounts that abuse the service.

Reviews

Reviews are for real visits. Keep them honest and lawful. We may remove reviews that are fraudulent, unlawful or unrelated to a visit.

Liability

Waqtee is provided “as is”. We are not a party to the service between you and the business, and we are not responsible for the business’s services, prices or conduct. To the extent permitted by law, our liability in connection with the service is limited to the amount you paid Waqtee itself to use it (Waqtee charges customers no fee; what you pay for a booking goes towards the business’s service).

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date above changes when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait.
